The Web Developer provides technical leadership to support USNH strategic initiatives.\r\nIn this role, you will develop and extend the Drupal content management system framework as well as develop software using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL, and/or other languages. Experience in Web Services (SOAP, REST) and source code control (GitLab) is required.\r\nYou will also assist in establishing and maintaining a development environment that uses industry best practices for change management. This includes effective use of code repositories, properly leveraging development-test-production environments, and adherence to security protocols and auditable programming standards.\r\nDuties/Responsibilities\r\nSoftware Development (80%)\r\nDevelop websites and other software applications to meet client needs within the scope of the USNH institutions' web style guides and policies. This includes designing, writing, and implementing new application software and enhancements to existing software; as well as designing application system solutions that employ current and emerging technologies.\r\nBuild standards-compliant websites using content management systems like Drupal and WordPress, and web technologies like PHP, HTML, React, and CSS.\r\nWork with complex data structures within relational databases.\r\nCollaborate across teams to integrate AI capabilities into workflows and align AI initiatives with organizational goals.\r\nLeverage AI to improve code quality and automate coding tasks. This includes testing, debugging, and improving efficiency by analyzing code for vulnerabilities and suggesting improvements.\r\nTroubleshoot issues as required.\r\nMaintain technical skills to ensure currency with new and emerging web technologies.\r\nProvide documentation and technical support for supported applications.\r\nCoordinate the tracking, implementation, and testing of software.\r\nOversee the maintenance schedule for software applications to ensure they stay up-to-date with the latest stable versions and security releases.\r\nManage document libraries, Git and other information warehouses.\r\nClient Services (15%)\r\nWorking closely with other project leaders, this position provides technical leadership by estimating project hours, developing functional and technical specifications, establishing timelines for software projects requested by our customers, and ensuring timely delivery of properly functioning application software.\r\nOther (5%)\r\nOther duties as assigned.
