This role will configure and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate application builds and deployments, manage Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, and improve observability, security, and incident response. The Senior DevOps Engineer will also contribute to complex software and cloud solutions, system architecture, security compliance, and technical documentation to improve scalability, resilience, and long-term operational performance.\n\nThis is a full-time position based in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO. Work must be performed onsite at the client location within a SCIF; telecommuting is not available. Candidates must possess a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and must be willing and able to obtain a CI Polygraph.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevOps & CI/CD\n\nConfigure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple web applications.\nPerform application builds using source code and required dependencies.\nImplement automated testing and security scanning throughout deployment workflows.\nDeploy applications across development, staging, and operational environments.\nSupport GitOps-style operations management using tools such as ArgoCD.\nDevelop and maintain automation that improves software delivery speed, consistency, and reliability.\n\nInfrastructure & Configuration Management\n\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions.\nAuthor Helm charts to deploy resources within OpenShift environments.\nManage infrastructure and application configurations across multiple environments.\nSupport web application networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, certificate management, and load balancing.\nDeploy and manage databases and support application interaction with databases using SQL and object-relational mapping technologies.\n\nSoftware & Systems Engineering\n\nResearch, design, develop, and modify enterprise cloud solutions and application software.\nDesign, develop, code, test, and debug complex software products and significant enhancements to existing applications.\nDevelop and apply advanced methods and techniques to resolve complex software application challenges.\nResolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.\nConduct complex system investigations and testing.\nIncorporate emerging technologies and product supportability considerations into system design and implementation.\nContribute code enhancements and updates to existing code repositories.\nDevelop application architecture diagrams and support strategic system architecture planning.\nCollaborate with hardware engineering personnel regarding system characteristics that affect software performance and requirements.\nSecurity, Monitoring & Observability\nManage and document system security and support security compliance activities.\nPerform software updates and remediation in response to security scan findings.\nIntegrate security components with applications and databases.\nSupport zero-trust identity implementations and associated authentication and authorization technologies.\nImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, networking, and security capabilities for containerized environments.\nImprove observability and incident response capabilities to accelerate issue detection, troubleshooting, and recovery.\n\nDocumentation & Customer Support\n\nDevelop and maintain system and architecture documentation supporting security and operational compliance.\nProvide technical input for user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.\nPrepare reports documenting technical analyses, findings, and project progress.\nPresent technical results and recommendations to management and customer personnel.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nCurrent and active TS/SCI security clearance.\nWillingness and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field;
