As part of the GSS Team the Software Developers expertise is needed to support a sophisticated enterprise environment. The Software Developer is an active participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings. The software developer will be responsible for developing and deploying custom solutions to the customers enterprise environment. Our work depends on TS/SCI level cleared Software Developer joining our team to support our Intelligence customer in Springfield, VA, St. Louis, MO or Arnold, MO.What You'll be OwningResearches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications softwareAnalyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needsDetermine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over timeMaintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and proceduresEstablish and Improve system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within development, test, and production systemsWorks under the guidance of the Scrum Master to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and deliveryProvides progress updates to Scrum Master and the team to ensure the management of any delivery risks or concernsWorks with the team to plan future sprints, define stories and estimate effortsWorks on a range of projects involving the implementation of new and existing systems, solutions, and processesDesigns, implements, and maintains application code on various networksContributes in all phases of the software development life cycleWrites well designed, testable, efficient codeEnsures designs are in compliance with specificationsRecommends changes to improve established application processesPrepares and produces releases of software componentsWrites automated unit test cases and evaluation code quality using automated toolsWrites automated integration test cases and resolves issuesSupports formal testing and resolves test defectsProvides technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questionsAligns to the customers strategiesUtilizes the customers enterprise DevSecOps pipelineWhat You Must HaveBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience5+ years of related software development experienceUS Citizen is requiredActive TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI polyStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExpert with at least one language and desire good experience with several others (Python, React, Java, etc.)Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processesExperience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker)Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, NexusExperience with SQL data storesDemonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problemsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small teamExperience with deploying to on prem/data center infrastructureExperience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basisWhat Would be Nice to HaveExperience developing containers intended to run on the RedHat Openshift Container PlatformExperience with ElasticSearchFront-end development skills (HTML/CSS/Sass/Less/JavaScript)Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform)Why Choose GRVTYThe toughest national security challenges demand vision and ingenuity, not just resources.
