Company: Executive Management, LLCLocations:Florida Farm Location - Odessa, FLOhio Farm Location - Alexandria, OHEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Farm Manager / Executive LeadershipPosition SummaryExecutive Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Hands-On Thoroughbred Assistant for our Florida and Ohio farm locations. This role is responsible for supporting daily thoroughbred horse care, assisting with farm operations, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of horses and related facilities.This is a hands-on position requiring direct involvement in daily horse care, farm maintenance, and operational support. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and effective communication skills, along with a deep respect for thoroughbred care and safety.Due to the nature of equine operations, candidates must reside on the property or within 10 minutes of the farm location to support time-sensitive needs and emergency situations.Key ResponsibilitiesThoroughbred Care & HandlingAssist with daily care of thoroughbred horsesFeed and water horses according to established schedulesTurn horses in and out of paddocks and stallsGroom horses and assist with general careMonitor horse health, behavior, and overall conditionReport any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concernsAssist with veterinary and farrier visits as neededMaintain accurate records of care and observationsBarn & Facility MaintenanceClean stalls, barns, and paddock areasMaintain cleanliness and organization of barn facilitiesAssist with bedding, hay, and feed managementClean and maintain water troughs and feeding areasSupport upkeep of fencing, gates, and barn equipmentAssist with general farm and property maintenanceHorse Handling & SafetySafely handle thoroughbreds in various settingsAssist with horse transportation preparation when requiredFollow established safety procedures and protocolsEnsure safe working environment for horses and staffAssist with turnout and exercise routines as directedOperational SupportAssist Farm Manager with daily farm operationsSupport inventory tracking for feed, bedding, and suppliesAssist with seasonal farm tasks and maintenanceSupport facility readiness for visitors, veterinarians, or inspectionsFlorida Location — Preferred ExperienceCandidates for the Florida location should ideally have experience with:Year-round horse care operationsHeat and humidity management for horsesStorm preparation and weather contingency planningPasture and turnout management in warm climatesOhio Location — Preferred ExperienceCandidates for the Ohio location should ideally have experience with:Seasonal horse care and winter managementCold-weather horse care and stall managementWinterization of barns and water systemsSeasonal pasture and turnout planningRequired Qualifications3–5+ years of thoroughbred or equine care experienceExperience handling thoroughbred horses preferredMust live on the property or within 10 minutes of the farm locationStrong attention to detail and observational skillsProactive mindset and ability to anticipate horse care needsEffective communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong work ethic and reliabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience working on thoroughbred farms or breeding operationsExperience assisting veterinarians and farriersKnowledge of equine health and safety practicesExperience with horse transportation preparationBasic farm maintenance experienceKey CompetenciesAttention to DetailProactive MindsetHands-On Work EthicHorse Handling & SafetyEffective CommunicationReliabilityProblem SolvingTeam CollaborationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical laborAbility to safely handle horses and farm equipmentWork ScheduleFull-TimeOn-Site at Florida or Ohio Farm LocationMust be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredAvailability for urgent horse care needs or emergenciesAbout Executive Management, LLCExecutive Management, LLC oversees equine and farm operations across multiple locations.
