We are looking for a candidate who is local to the area and interested in a long-term role within a reliable and supportive environment. Your expertise will be a vital part of our operations.\n\nThe Process Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, reliability, productivity, capital implementation, and continuous improvement of industrial processes involved in manufacturing tissue paper products. This role will focus on scaling up chemical and biochemical processes from lab to full production and ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMonitor, maintain, and improve the efficiency, output, and safety of production processes\n\nImplement and upgrade process control systems for tissue manufacturing operations\n\nEvaluate and scale chemical processes from lab to plant level\n\nEnsure environmental, health, and safety compliance\n\nAnalyze raw material usage, environmental impact, and cost efficiency\n\nPartner with subcontractors and vendors on equipment and improvements\n\nIdentify and drive process improvements in coordination with QA and Safety\n\nCollect and interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions\n\nEnsure all operations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards\n\nAssist with problem-solving and process development activities\n\nParticipate in team meetings to resolve issues and coordinate activities\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment\n\nCommunicate equipment and supply needs to supervision\n\nSupport daily operations and maintain workflow as needed\n\nRequirements:\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field\n\nExperience in a manufacturing or process engineering role preferred\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\n\nKnowledge of chemical and biochemical processing a plus\n\nCommitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team\n\nWhy Join Sofidel America?\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\n401(k) with company match\n\nStable work environment with long-term growth opportunities\n\nA company culture rooted in innovation and sustainability\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer Statement:\nSofidel America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
