This person will supervise packaging operators and oversee the production processes in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor.\n\nThe Packaging Supervisor ensures compliance with cGMP's, InvaGen Pharmaceutical's policies,standard operating procedures, and FDA requirements. The incumbent will serve as a key resource forconducting product complaints, supporting packaging, and packaging components within approved proceduresand regulatory requirements.\n\nThe job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following :\n\nManaging shifts and controls activities in the absence of the Packaging Manager.\n\nSupervising activities and work performed on the floor.\n\nSupporting Line Leaders and other employees when necessary.\n\nMaintaining proper cGMP practices across all work areas.\n\nResponsible for working in all areas such as Pre-check and office duties.\n\nResponsible for working with Systech serialization system and SAP.\n\nReducing time spent preparing lines for the next products.\n\nTraining and educating employees when necessary.\n\nRecording In-process entries into respective documents.\n\nChecking the Cleanliness of machines prior to or after use.\n\nPerforming daily routine checkups and ensuring safety measures are in place.\n\nReducing time spent during changeovers.\n\nEnforcing cGMP.\n\nMaintaining full knowledge and a strong understanding of all SOPs and proper use of equipment.\n\nBe a point of contact for questions regarding procedures and expectations for employees.\n\nServe as a leader and coach.\n\nContribute to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing in the technical area.\n\nUnderstand and operates all necessary equipment and instrumentation to perform activities.\n\nMaintains documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements(i.e., GMP, SOPs etc.).\n\nFollow strict internal protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as followcurrent Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), comply with legal regulations, monitoring the environment.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nOne (1) to three (3) years of direct work experience in pharmaceutical packaging. Preference willbe given to candidates with experience in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging.\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences orrelated field of study from an accredited college/university preferred.\n\nMust have 2 years' cGMP work experience.\n\nTechnical Knowledge and Computer Systems Skills\n\nStrong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging machines.\n\nCapable of conducting trouble-shootings.\n\nCapable of handling and participating in compliance and regulatory audits at the local and federallevels.\n\nExperience using SAP business systems and applications is a plus\n\nMust have 2 years' cGMP work experience.\n\nMust be proficient in computer skills and software applications such as Microsoft Office tools.\n\nBilingual in Spanish is preferred.\n\nProfessional and Behavioral Competencies\n\nProficiently speak English as a first or second language\n\nAbility to understand and analyze complex data sets.\n\nKnowledge of statistical packages is a plus.\n\nKnowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices preferred.\n\nAbility to read, write and communicate effectively.\n\nSelf-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\n\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to focus on details.\n\nBasic computer skills (Word and Excel) - Intermediate\n\nGood basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.\n\nWork Schedule and Other Position Information\n\nMust be willing to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting.\n\nMust be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from the first or second shift.
