NRO Assistant Inspector General for Audit
This is a CIA position that will be assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) Office of Inspector General (OIG). As a CIA officer working as part of the NRO OIG you will report to the NRO OIG's Deputy Inspector General for Audit (AIG) and be responsible for leading a staff of professional auditors in performing audits and special reviews on a wide-range of topics
You will help NRO effectively and efficiently carry out its vital national security mission and promote good stewardship of its resources by helping detect and deter mismanagement, fraud, waste, and abuse. Leading the Audit Division in the oversight of NRO programs and activities you will lead a staff of professional auditors to plan, direct, coordinate, and manage independent financial and performance audits and special assessments of NRO activities in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards.
Specific duties include but are not limited to
Plan and serve key role in a wide range of complex inspections to improve Agency efficiency and effectiveness.
Collect information and data to support the inspection.
Analyze the information collected; draw conclusions and determine recommendations.
Report and/or present inspection findings and recommendations on a range of complex issues.
Follow up on recommendations upon issuance of the inspection report.
The AIG serves as a member of the OIG senior management team and will interact with senior government officials regarding audit issues, including representatives from across the Intelligence Community, as well as Congress. Travel may be required for this position.
This position will be vetted and onboarded as a CIA officer who will immediately be assigned to the NRO OIG.
