Biomedical Technician
Biomedical Technician Job Description:
The Biomedical Equipment Tech I is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and devices. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and safely. The Biomedical Equipment Tech I will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment and devices
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and safety
Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies
Document all maintenance and repairs in accordance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards
Provide training and support to other healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment and devices
Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines for medical equipment
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
