Job Description Electrical CAD Technician6 month contractKansas City, MOJob Description:The Electrical CAD Technician will assist technical teams of detailers, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions.Assist in a full range of drawing production work.Produce project deliverables in an efficient and budget conscious manner.Assist with CAD drawing production and project execution.Printing, scanning and submitting drawing packages.Maintain high CAD proficiency and mastery of current CAD systems.Effectively use multiple application packages where necessary.Review and adhere to project scope, schedule and budget.Identification of priority tasks and implementing plans of execution.Communicate with team and management workload.Maintain record of client or company CAD standards.Provide quality feedback of work.Assist in the QA/QC process.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Job Requirements:High School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology is Required.Highly preferred:Specialized CAD certification preferred.Min completed Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting, or a related field.Bachelors degree in any Engineering field is not allowed for this position.2+ years of experience as a designer OR drafterElectrical design experience OR Distribution design experience OR Overhead Electric experience OR GIS design experiencePlusses:Experience with DDS (Distribution Design Studio) software.Experience with any of the following software:AUDGE Small WorldARCfmBoudStormsCrewsCandidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.Company Description ESPO Engineering, established in 1965, is a premier Technical Recruiting and Staffing firm.ESPO employees may enjoy a full range of benefits from 401(k), Premium Health Insurance, Dental, Disability, Direct Deposit, PTO time and Holiday Pay.
