As part of the team, you will handle both emergency and non-emergency situations with precision, maintain site safety protocols, and contribute to a secure environment at our client sites.\r\nKey ResponsibilitiesPerform Emergency Dispatch and Recording Coordinator duties as per the Site's Emergency Response Plan.\r\nDirect security personnel during both emergent and non-emergent situations.\r\nDispatch, communicate, and relay crucial information to the appropriate personnel, especially in high-stress scenarios.\r\nMonitor and respond to site alarm systems, including fire alarms, access control, and intrusion systems.\r\nImplement emergency protocols such as evacuation and sheltering during fire alarm events.\r\nMaintain accurate logs and official records related to assigned duties.\r\nCommunicate with external agencies when necessary.\r\nAdvise management on emergent and non-emergent situations.\r\nMaintain professionalism in all situations, including high-pressure emergencies.\r\nParticipate in site-specific training, fire, and safety exercises.\r\nUphold integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.\r\nComplete AIMS reports and ensure the proper administration of the hot work permit process.\r\nMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent\r\nPrevious dispatcher or console operator experience, or 1 year of Security experience at GM.\r\nGeneral understanding of security operations and interest in learning dispatch operations.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.\r\nExceptional customer service, organizational, and multitasking abilities.\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\r\nAbility to make quick, decisive actions in emergency situations.\r\nAbility to interact effectively with individuals at all levels and across diverse cultures.\r\nTeam-oriented with the ability to make sound judgments.\r\nProficiency in Microsoft programs and common console operation equipment.\r\nPreferred Experience2+ years of public sector dispatch or emergency operations center experience.\r\n2+ years of verifiable data center security experience.\r\n3+ years of verifiable private/corporate security experience.\r\nPhysical and Mental RequirementsAbility to physically respond to emergency situations, including carrying out duties in stressful and high-pressure environments.\r\nMust maintain a professional and ethical demeanor, providing courteous interaction with all employees and visitors.\r\nInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
