The Engineer will work individually and as a member of a team to configure network, software, and hardware networking components and security appliances and applications to meet DoD requirements and support their installation and initialization onsite in the customers' environments.\nThis is Position requires on-site 5 days a week in Sumter, SC\nArchitect, design, implement, and support NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) compliant solutions that meet NSA, DoD, and customer mission requirements.\nDesign, develop, integrate, test, and maintain secure communications networks and supporting infrastructure.\nConfigure and manage network, software, and hardware components in accordance with NSA CSfC Capability Packages, NIAP requirements, and DoD security standards.\nConfigure and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments, including Certificate Authorities and certificate lifecycle management using technologies such as ISC CertAgent, Microsoft Windows Server Certificate Services, and Red Hat Certificate Systems.\nConfigure, integrate, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN gateways, IDS/IPS platforms, wireless controllers, and related security appliances from vendors including Aruba, Cisco and Palo Alto.\nPerform systems integration and interoperability testing for secure network solutions and customer environments.\nAuthor and maintain Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), implementation plans, configuration guides, test procedures, test reports, and customer training materials.\nProvide onsite installation, integration, operational support, and customer training for both technical and non-technical users.\nServe as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation resource during service outages and operational incidents.\nCollaborate effectively with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and project management teams to deliver approved infrastructure solutions.\nInterface directly with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support solution delivery and operational success.\nIdentify and recommend hardware, software, and support solutions through research, analysis, and evaluation of emerging technologies.\nManage vendors and contractors during implementation and deployment activities.\nDemonstrate professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset while supporting mission-critical environments.\nContribute positively within a team-oriented environment while also maintaining the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nPerform special projects and additional duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications:\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance\nMust have an active Security+ or Higher\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience supporting secure network engineering environments.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience working with network security technologies in enterprise, government, or service provider environments.\nDemonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) architectures and solutions.\nExperience with commercial Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate management, and modern encryption technologies.\nExperience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, and related network security appliances.\nStrong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and commonly used ports and protocols.\nAbility to develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and customer-facing training materials.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.\nProven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while also operating independently when required.\nStrong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments.\nPreferred Qualifications/Education and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering degree or Information Systems degree.
