Working closely with Plant Production, the Maintenance Manager will monitor the supervision the crew to provide quick response to management requests related to the general performance and upkeep of the production machines and equipment.\n\nVacancy\nBackfill\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nManage all maintenance procedures and crew activities to produce results that meet or exceed accepted quality, efficiency and safety standards, including maintaining CFIA ratings by meeting or exceeding CFIA regulations requirement for equipment and plant maintenance, while maintaining safety\n\nResponsible for the monitoring and reporting of the weekly indicator reports and period objectives.\n\nEnsure the completion of the maintenance plan by overseeing and advising on the establishment of priorities, the revision of schedules and the resolution of problems.\n\nAssist in planning the annual plant wide operating Capital budgets.\n\nDevelop, direct, manage, train, and motivate Supervisors and employees by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in conjunction with the Human Resource department.\n\nLiaise with other departments on maintenance concerns and maintain strong relationships within and outside the organization.\n\nConduct monthly meeting with maintenance crew and report back to Plant Manager.\n\nProvides input into matters on changes of food safety procedures, product quality and Quality Assurance related matters.\n\nParticipate in JHSC initiatives and follow established policies as outlined in the Health and Safety policies.\n\nSupports the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all Quality Systems.\n\nPerform other relevant duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Skill, Experience and Qualifications\n\nProven leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers and Managers.\n\nStrong verbal and written as well as effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve employee conflict.\n\nAbility to accurately maintain detailed records.\n\nStrong safety focus.\n\nHigh Proficiency in MS Office.\n\nBe able to work independently, as well as be a strong team player.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nHave 3+ years related and/or Management experience.\n\nBe able to work independently, as well as be a strong team player with good analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nPossession of Diploma or post-secondary education with Technical Certificate preferred.\n\nIntermediate Computer Skills in Microsoft Office (such as word, excel, outlook, charting and graphing).\n\nExperience in a meat processing an asset\n\nBe success-driven and have a “can do” attitude.\n\nHigh degree of flexibility and adaptability to take up additional duties and cross-train.\n\nAbility to assess and prioritize.\n\nOccasional overtime and ability to work various shifts may be required.\n\n$110,000 - $150,000 a year\n\n#INDHP\n\n#LI-IG1\n\nAt Sunrise Farms we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
