Responsibilities for this Position:\nDuties and Tasks:\n\nPerforms design and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat\ntransfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of\nmechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines and/or machines\n\nConducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs\nProvides design information for detailing packaging documentation\nReceives detailed instructions from immediate supervisor\nGenerally, works within an identified work group\nCollaborates with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department\nBuilds stable working relationships internally\nWorks on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations\nFollows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which\nanswers can be readily obtained\n\nTravel may be required\nSecurity clearance may be required\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n\nClear understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, and theories\nGood ability to grasp and apply new information quickly\nGood ability to handle ever increasing responsibility and assignments with growing complexity\nShows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little direction\nGood ability to be a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting\nand exceeding personal and team commitments\n\nAbility to be creative, innovative, and responsible, and able to master good decision-making skills\nAbility to learn and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues\nClear understanding of Microsoft Office applications\nGood written and verbal communications skills\nGood ability to recognize and clearly report relevant information\nProficient with CAD tools to create mechanical models and accompanying drawings\nSalary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
