As a Respite Support Professional, you will provide high-quality supervision, care, and support to children and/or adults with developmental disabilities while promoting safety, dignity, and independence. This role is ideal for individuals who value teamwork, professionalism, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.\nDuties\nSupervise clients and ensure social, medical, and personal care needs are met.\nImplement individualized Program Plans as directed.\nMaintain a safe environment and follow Universal Precautions.\nCommunicate with families, staff, and Case Coordinators.\nComplete required documentation accurately and on time.\nProvide transportation when required.\nParticipate in training and team meetings as needed.\nRequirements\nExperience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism highly desirable\nAbility to work independently and communicate effectively.\nAbility to lift up to 20 lbs., climb stairs, bend, and reach as needed.\nAbility to perform CPR/First Aid and assist in emergency situations.\nAbility to work in environments with moderate noise and occasional exposure to bodily fluids.\nStrong patient observation skills to recognize changes in condition or behavior\nCompassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities\nAbility to adhere to HIPAA regulations ensuring resident privacy at all times\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for community outings or appointments\nAbilities Plus is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
