This role combines engaging activities and opportunities for growth with respectful, hands-on personal care.\n\nWhat you’ll be expected to do\n\n* Create a welcoming, positive environment where individuals feel valued, included, and supported.\n* Plan and lead creative, engaging activities that reflect each individual’s interests, abilities, and goals.\n* Be open to new approaches for creating and exploring job opportunities for individuals who experience I/DD.\n* Help individuals explore their interests, build skills, and participate in meaningful activities.\n* Provide behavior supports as needed.\n* Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, bathroom assistance, personal hygiene, and other personal care needs.\n* Support instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such as meal preparation, organizing belongings, and everyday tasks.\n* Provide personal care with patience and professionalism while protecting each individual’s dignity and privacy.\n* Work collaboratively with the team, communicate clearly, and follow individual support plans.\n* Arrive reliably and ready to engage throughout the program day.\n\nRequired qualifications\n\n* At least two years of experience working in a setting where you supported someone’s ADLs and IADLs.\n* Have experience redirecting behavior\n* Comfort and willingness to provide hands-on bathroom assistance, including toileting and personal hygiene.\n* Ability to pass a criminal history background check.\n* Reliable transportation.\n* Availability Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.\n* A creative, positive, and engaging approach, with patience, compassion, and openness to trying new ideas.\n\nAn important part of this role\n\nPersonal care is an essential responsibility—not an occasional task.
