Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.\n\nThe Safety and Training Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and with company safety requirements. Responsible for continuous leadership, recruitment and training of operator candidates. Promotes strong leadership and influences positive employee morale throughout the location. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvides behind-the-wheel instruction according to corporate and client specifications in all aspects of vehicle operation and passenger transportation, including defensive driving, service area familiarization, passenger loading, unloading and securement.\n\nConducts classroom training in accordance with corporate and location requirements.\n\nEnsure all safety manuals, programs, policies, and procedures are current and meet the needs of the location.\n\nDocument all training activities and ensure accurate completion of all training-related employee records.\n\nEstablish a relationship with client and corporate personnel to identify additional training needs, resources, and opportunities.\n\nPrepares and conducts monthly safety meetings.\n\nMaintains an adequate and complete employee filing system and participates in audits and inspections to meet client and corporate expectations.\n\nDirects the location drug & alcohol program to include random drug testing and ensures all files are updated to pass regular audits.\n\nManages the injury prevention program to reduce the number of workplace injuries.\n\nConducts accident investigation using root-cause analysis and assigns employee re-training as required.\n\nResponsible for maintaining/posting OSHA log.\n\nConducts road observations to evaluate operator safety, customer service, and systematic knowledge of the service.\n\nProvides coaching and re-training as required on Drive Cam.\n\nRespond to customer comments related to the service.\n\nOther duties as required.\n\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent):\n\nQualifications :\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\n\nMinimum of (3) years’ experience in the passenger transportation industry.\n\nCalifornia CDL Class B w/Passenger Endorsement\n\nExperience in location safety management and/or operations management.\n\nProviding quality training, including the creation and management of training materials.\n\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
