You will help build and maintain the data pipelines and trusted data products used to support the Army Quartermaster Corp, sustainment, and operational decision-making.\n\nThis is a hands-on role for an early-career engineer with a solid foundation in Python, SQL, and data integration.\n\nBuild, test, and maintain data pipelines.\nCollect, transform, and integrate data from databases, files, APIs, and enterprise systems.\nDevelop Python and SQL code used in data-processing and integration workflows.\nPerform data profiling, validation, and quality checks.\nHelp document data sources, transformations, lineage, and technical processes.\nInvestigate pipeline failures and data-quality issues.\nSupport the development of trusted data products for reporting, analysis, and Army decision-making.\nUse source control, automated testing, and established engineering practices.\nWork with Army stakeholders to understand data requirements.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to reusable engineering patterns.\nQualifications:\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nOne or more years of relevant data, software, or analytics engineering experience. Relevant internships, military experience, and substantial academic projects may be considered.\nWorking knowledge of Python and SQL.\nUnderstanding of relational databases, data structures, and data-transformation concepts.\nExperience building or supporting ETL or ELT workflows.\nFamiliarity with Git or another source-control system.\nAbility to communicate technical issues clearly and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required. Please note, only US Citizens can obtain a clearance.\nAbility to work onsite at Fort Lee, Virginia.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nActive DoD Secret clearance.\nExperience supporting the U.S. Army or another Department of Defense organization.\nFamiliarity with Army logistics, sustainment, readiness, supply chain, or maintenance data.\nExperience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or another enterprise data platform.\nExperience with cloud data services in AWS or Azure.\nFamiliarity with data-quality, lineage, orchestration, or monitoring tools.\nExperience using automated testing or continuous-integration practices.\nRelevant technical certification or military occupational experience.\n\n#LI-SH1\n\nTarget salary range: $80,375 - $90,604. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.\n\nApplicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance.
