DevOps Engineer

The DevOps engineer position is a full-time and remote role that is a key part of our business. The position handles Azure infrastructure and database management, security, CI/CD pipelines, and more.Duties:Provision, configure and maintain infrastructure within our Azure cloud environmentsMonitor, report, and improve upon our security posture, performance, and other KPIs related to our operations and software development lifecycleCollaborate with developers, QA and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of software, infrastructure, or other internal requirements for our businessOwn incident management and response, following our SLAs, lead outage response teams to restore servicesBuild, test, and implement CI/CD tools to enable our teams to deploy code quickly and continuously following best practices and industry standardsBe on call with other members of the team to respond to outageQualifications:Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering / Administration or a related roleEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fieldTechnical Skills:Strong proficiency in Git (GitHub), Ansible, Azure DevOps or similarStrong understanding of TCP/IP or OSI model Decent proficiency with scripting (we mainly use powershell and python)Hands-on, provable experience with Azure cloud (VMs / Windows / Networking, App Service)Solid familiarity and understanding of SOC2Knowledge with industry standards, best practices, for cloud and system administrationAdded bonus:Demonstrable experience with SQL serverExperience with improving logging and monitoring systemsA knack for hardening security posture and advocating for information security Experience with fedRAMP and/or ISO27001Soft Skills:Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent problem-solving skills (critical and lateral thinking)Experience with working alone or in team-environments Demonstrable experience with skill set growth and desire to learn
