Based on performance and business needs, there is potential for the role to transition into a regular Hale employee position.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Module Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical pump units, including complete pump module packages. Duties include attaching pump bodies and related components, performing functional testing, and completing certification of finished equipment. This role ensures all assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance standards before release.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform basic assembly, fitting and wiring as necessary to build a wide range of sub-assemblies and finished product.\nBuild to detailed procedures, cross sections or from general instructions and acceptable mechanical practices.\nAble to repair and troubleshoot when required.\nCapable of using sound mechanical judgment to independently install components with limited instruction.\nUse of a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tooling and equipment.\nAble to read and understand torque values and procedures.\nReport supply needs in a timely manner assuring required supply levels are maintained.\nReport any safety and maintenance needs to supervisor.\nInstall components required to inspect products. This involves operations such as connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting for proper clearance using any tools required to attain alignment, fits, clearances, and specifications as required.\nRemove test components from all types of pumps as required. Transport products and other equipment to designated work area.\nMust display an attention to detail attitude. Detect and correct errors. Make repairs and adjustments as required to pass inspection.\nClean and make minor repairs to assembly equipment. Store and place in proper locations all items required to assure the assembly area is free of accumulated clutter, clean, and is in orderly condition.\nConsistently produce work of proper quality and required quantity.\nUtilize time during assembly process to perform other duties within this job description.\nPerform routine maintenance on assembly and test equipment.\nPerform annual inventory.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to read tape measure in both standard and metric scales.\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to document individual work orders. Ability to speak effectively to co-workers, supervisor, and other departments to clarify work orders and blueprints.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMechanical assembly experience preferred.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
