Staff Accountant

Job Description Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting a full-time Staff Accountant for our client located in Ingleside, TX. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hands-on support related tasks. The candidate will have the ability to function efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible and proactive.This position is temporary to hire, the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and the annual salary is between $55,000 - $60,000Responsibilities :Prepare and ensure accuracy of billings and invoices.Respond to customer inquiries concerning accounts payable invoices.Enter all payables, request approvals and prepare for payment.Special projects and other duties assigned.Completes barge reports, reviews boat logs to complete job orders.Participating in customer and business development meetings.Assist with credit card reconciliation.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a highly accredited university;Minimum GPA of 3.0;Individuals without a Bachelor's degree will not be consideredMicrosoft Office Knowledge Required (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong Excel Skills RequiredPrevious Accounting and QuickBooks experience requiredBackground in maritime industry is preferred but not required
