{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e47e0f8197bc4e4154c6b0d8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e47e0f8197bc4e4154c6b0d8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e47e0f8197bc4e4154c6b0d8","title":"Utilities Engineer","description":"Job Title: Utilities Engineer\nLocation: Houston, TX\nType: Direct Hire\nWork Model: Onsite – onsite\n\nResponsibilities\n\nMonitor utility-system conditions, ensure optimal and efficient performance, and guide investment priorities for plant utilities across company's Gulf Coast sites.\nIdentify and correct utility inefficiencies, develop and maintain utility balances, support capital projects, and provide troubleshooting guidance.\nEvaluate water-treatment processes, steam boilers, condensate systems, and wastewater management to support plant operations and future growth.\nReview work of contracted engineering personnel involved in utility and infrastructure design, prepare project cost estimates, and participate in long-term utility contract reviews.\nParticipate on the organizational leadership team; research, recommend, and prepare policies, plans, and future-expansion proposals.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.\n2–5 years of relevant experience (10+ years preferred).\nStrong knowledge of utility design, construction, and contract administration procedures.\nProficiency with process-simulation software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Pro/II, or ChemCAD.\nKnowledge of process-control and safety instrumented system (SIS) design, industrial flow- and level-measurement technologies, and applicable standards and codes (API, ASME, NFPA, OSHA).\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Visio, Bluebeam, SharePoint, Power BI, and collaboration tools.\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
