This position works closely with staff, volunteers, board committees, and community partners to expand program opportunities, strengthen volunteer engagement, and advance the organization's mission of enriching lives through inclusive outdoor experiences.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nVolunteer Recruitment & Engagement\nRecruit, engage, and onboard volunteers, with a focus on high school students, college students, and individuals interested in serving people with disabilities.\nBuild and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, universities, community organizations, faith communities, and other volunteer recruitment partners.\nDevelop innovative recruitment strategies and outreach initiatives to expand and diversify the volunteer pipeline.\nRepresent Twin Cedars at volunteer fairs, community events, campus activities, and networking opportunities.\nMaintain regular communication with prospective and current volunteers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.\nFoster volunteer retention and engagement through relationship-building, recognition, and leadership development opportunities.\nMonitor volunteer participation and identify opportunities for increased involvement and long-term retention.\nCollaborate with camp leadership to assess volunteer needs and align recruitment efforts with organizational priorities.\nTrack recruitment activities, maintain accurate records, and achieve volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement goals established by the Executive Director.\nProgram Development\nSupport the development and growth of programs related to outdoor education, school partnerships, corporate retreats, and mid-week rental opportunities.\nResearch, evaluate, and help implement new programs and enhancements to existing programs.\nCollaborate with staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners to advance Twin Cedars' programmatic goals.\nAdministrative & Operational Responsibilities\nCoordinate volunteer application processing, background checks, and reference collection with the Administrative Coordinator.\nServe as staff liaison to the Board of Directors' Program Committee.\nCoordinate activity facilitators for retreat season programs and events.\nSchedule activities and programming with partner organizations during the summer season.\nDevelop weekly schedules for seasonal staff.\nAssist with the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of seasonal program staff.\nSupport camper outcome measurement efforts, including survey administration and data collection.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nAssist with fundraising, community engagement, and special events.\nServe periodically as an on-call staff member for Twin Cedars programs and partner organizations.\nPerform other duties as assigned that support the mission and strategic goals of Twin Cedars.\nPreferred Experience and Qualifications:\nThe ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of identifying needs, taking ownership of responsibilities, and consistently delivering results.\nBachelor’s degree strongly preferred\nStrong organizational skills\nPublic speaking and presentation skills\nExperience working/volunteering for a camp program strongly preferred\nAble to communicate in a professional manner via spoken and written communication\nTO APPLY: Please email a resume and cover letter to jobs@camptwincedars.org .
