Duration: 07 Months (Possibility of extension/conversion based on performance and budget)Client: One of the largest Aerospace and Defense companies in the USOverview:We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design of small components and assemblies for sensor, electronic, electromechanical, and precision optical systems. This role is ideal for candidates with early-career experience who have strong proficiency in CAD tools and relevant design exposure.Duties:Design and develop small components and assemblies using CAD software.Support engineering efforts for sensor, electronic, electromechanical, or optical systems.Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and production needs.Apply engineering fundamentals to meet design requirements and timelines.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior mechanical design experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.Proficiency in Siemens NX.High experience with at least one CAD platform: SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing considerations.Preferred:Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Exposure to design for production or production line support.Basic knowledge of shock, vibration, or stress analysis.
