The ideal candidate has hands-on experience assembling electronic components, performing precision soldering, and following technical documentation. This position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality finished products that meet industry and customer standards.\nThe individual will work closely with the operations and engineering teams to provide support on complex products and power circuitry. The individual will work in a highly technical, fast-paced, and result driven startup environment with multifunctional team members.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform precision soldering of electronic components following IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).\nAssemble electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, soldering irons, and magnification equipment.\nInterpret and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Wiring Diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Verbal instructions may be necessary for some tasks.\nInspect solder joints and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.\nConduct rework and touch-up soldering when needed.\nMaintain a clean, organized workstation and work area.\nFollow ESD-safe handling procedures.\nCollaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to address defects, process issues, or component discrepancies.\nRecord production data and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures.\nCommunicate and collaborate effectively and respectfully with cross-functional team members to successfully achieve common goals.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills:\nExperience with PCB assembly, wiring harnesses, or cable assemblies.\nKnowledge of ESD safety practices.\nExperience working in electronics, aerospace, medical devices, or similar industries.\nFamiliarity with basic testing equipment (multimeters, continuity testers).\nEnglish speaking and writing skills.\nProper documentation to work in the USA.\nDesired Qualifications:\nActive Soldering certification (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, or equivalent).\nProven experience in soldering electronic components, including through-hole and/or surface-mount.\nStrong manual dexterity and attention to detail.\nAbility to work with small components and under magnification.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office Suite (basic level).\nAbility to use equipment such as: DMM, oscilloscopes, power supply, data loggers, thermal chambers, microscopes.\nGeneral Job Requirements\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.\nMust be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time\nEmployees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.\nMust be able and willing to wear a respirator.\nThis position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead.
