Corporate Controller

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Corporate Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations, build scalable accounting processes, and support executive leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This role will oversee the finance operating engine, ensuring strong accounting discipline, operational efficiency, financial visibility, and scalable infrastructure to support continued growth and acquisitions.The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with FP&A capabilities, operational leadership, process improvement, and modern finance technology adoption.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Leadership & Internal ControlsLead and develop the accounting team through effective delegation, accountability, and performance management.Own and manage a structured, timely, and accurate month-end close process.Ensure balance sheet integrity through complete, reviewed, and substantiated reconciliations.Review and validate financial statements before executive-level finalization.Partner with executive leadership on accounting policy, technical accounting research, audit readiness, and judgment-based accounting matters.Maintain and continuously improve internal controls appropriate for a private-equity-backed business environment.Liquidity & Working Capital ManagementOversee day-to-day cash management and short-term liquidity forecasting.Drive visibility into working capital performance across AR, AP, and inventory.Partner cross-functionally with sourcing and operations teams to improve cash conversion cycles.Prepare borrowing base reports and lender-related financial deliverables.FP&A & Performance ReportingLead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful business insights behind financial results.Develop clear and actionable reporting for operational and branch leadership teams.Support executive and board-level reporting through accurate analysis and financial data preparation.Take ownership of recurring financial reporting and analysis processes.Automation, AI & Process ImprovementIdentify and implement automation opportunities across close processes, reconciliations, reporting, and recurring financial analysis.Leverage existing BI, AI, and data warehouse tools to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.Document, standardize, and optimize finance workflows to support organic growth and acquisitions.Collaborate with IT and leadership teams on finance system enhancements, integrations, and data quality initiatives.M&A & Integration SupportSupport financial due diligence, quality of earnings processes, and acquisition-related financial workstreams.Assist with opening balance sheet preparation and purchase accounting activities alongside external advisors.Standardize acquired entities' charts of accounts, close calendars, and reporting structures.Stabilize and integrate newly acquired businesses into the organization's financial reporting framework.Business Partnership & Operational SupportPartner directly with branch managers, operations, sourcing, and leadership teams to drive financial accountability.Translate financial results into actionable operational insights.Support management reporting cadence with concise narratives and performance metrics.Help improve financial literacy and business understanding across the organization.Core Values & Leadership ExpectationsEmpowermentDevelop team capability through delegation, coaching, and ownership.Measure success through team growth and scalability.IntegrityMaintain accountability for financial accuracy and transparency.Surface risks and issues proactively while upholding strong accounting discipline.GritThrive in a fast-paced, private-equity-backed environment.Demonstrate persistence, accountability, and follow-through.InnovationEmbrace automation, AI, and process redesign as essential components of the finance function.Continuously improve efficiency and scalability.One TeamCollaborate effectively across finance, operations, sourcing, IT, and leadership teams.Communicate financial insights in clear business language.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting required;
