The ideal candidate combines deep theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as electromagnetic theory, RF and wireless circuit design, communication systems, and product design trade-offs.\n\nYou’ll leverage electromagnetic and system simulations, hands‑on prototyping, and test and measurement tools to understand complex system and sub‑system interactions - translating insights into production‑ready designs that balance performance, reliability, and manufacturability at scale.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nLead bring‑up and production of state‑of‑the‑art physical layer wireless communication systems\n\nDesign and simulate wireless systems optimized for ultra‑low power applications\n\nPerform link budget modeling and system‑level performance analysis\n\nIntegrate and validate wireless technologies such as cellular, low power mesh networking, NTN, GPS, Wi‑Fi, BLE, and LoRa\n\nCollaborate closely across electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams\n\nCollaborate with firmware and software teams to analyze RF telemetry data and optimize wireless network performance\n\nDrive cross‑functional alignment with antenna vendors, certification labs, and manufacturing partners\n\nRequired Skills\n\nBSEE (or higher) with 5+ years of experience in RF systems design and debug\n\nStrong hands‑on experience in lab environments including RF conducted measurements, OTA testing, and rework\n\nExperience incellular and/or low power mesh networks\n\nProven experience with RF manufacturing line testing, fixture development, and validation\n\nStrong understanding of radiodesenseand coexistencetesting\n\nExperiencein RF certification and compliance (PTCRB, EMI, FCC, CTIA, etc.)\n\nExperience working with antenna vendors and certification labs\n\nComfortable scripting in Python or similar for RF test automation and data analysis\n\nProven collaboration experience with RF silicon vendors, and internal EE, ME, and FW teams\n\nBonus Skills\n\nDirect experience partnering with RF silicon vendors\n\nDeep cross‑disciplinary collaboration across hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering\n\nExperience resolving RF coexistence issues in sensors\n\nExperience in antenna design\n\n$195,000 - $210,000 a year\n\nThis describes the ideal candidate; many of us have picked up this expertise along the way.
