May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, or Lead Technician.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology\nMentors Service Technician Trainees and Student Technicians\nConducts or supports customer clinics\nPerforms diagnostics and repairs in the field as required\nAccountable for billable time and assigned work orders\nResponsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information\nMay participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge\nOperates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities\nMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion\nFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments\nMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products\nExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge\nExperience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred\nExperience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technicians specialty\nExperience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment\nExperience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes\nExperience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred\nExperience working cooperatively in a team environment\nExperience communicating effectively verbally and in writing\nMust have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities\nValid driver's license preferred\nCompany History:\nFounded in 1937 by Charles Jacob Grossenburg and his wife Blanche, Grossenburg Implement started as a small family business with a big vision: to provide cutting-edge farming technology and unmatched service to the local community.
