We boldly go.\n\nJob Summary：The Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing parts, equipment, or facility surfaces to meet Trane’s quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by applying paint and protective coatings to HVAC components or maintaining facility appearance.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, or applying primer\nMix and apply paint, coatings, or finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers\nOperate and maintain paint equipment, booths, and ventilation systems\nInspect finished work for quality, proper thickness, and appearance\nFollow work orders, production schedules, and safety procedures\nMaintain accurate records of materials used\nPerform routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance\nHandle and dispose of hazardous materials according to safety and environmental guidelines\nWork collaboratively with production teams and supervisors\nFollow all Trane safety policies, including PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and 5S practices\n\nQualifications:\n\nExperience in industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive painting preferred\nAbility to read work instructions, paint specs, and safety data sheets (SDS)\nKnowledge of spray equipment, finishing techniques, and coating processes\nPhysical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\nAbility to work safely with chemicals and materials\nHigh school diploma or equivalent typically required\n\nKey Competencies:\n\nExperience with powder coating or electrostatic painting\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing practices\nBasic mechanical aptitude\n\nWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
