Duties: Partner with the Marketing and Business Partnerships organizations to advise on product launches, operational initiatives, Marketing Campaigns, Digital Media, Consumer Protection, Strategic Partnerships, and Marketing Law issues. Provide ongoing legal support for various marketing activities across our Delivery Marketing Legal Team, including Uber Eats, Postmates, Grocery, and Retail. Serve as a point person for Marketing Law in the U.S. for restricted item verticals such as alcohol and CBD. Collaborate with other legal stakeholders such as product, IP, Litigation, employment, and privacy counsel. Update and maintain marketing playbooks and guidelines based on applicable laws, rules, and regulatory developments. Collaborate on and draft internal training on relevant legal issues. Work with stakeholders to implement changes in internal processes. May telecommute.Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.Position Requires Reviewing and advising on consumer protection, marketing legal issues and advertising campaigns across mediums; Experience interpreting consumer protection regulatory guidance, and applying it to legal issues; Experience with alcohol laws and legal guidance on alcohol and pharma sales and marketing guidelines; Legal analysis, legal reasoning, advising and counseling with cross-functional stakeholders; Advising on marketing content in a tech company; Experience with business development partnerships; Familiarity with Gsuite and JIRA; Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including partnership, promotion, vendor, and licensing contracts, to ensure legal compliance and alignment with corporate objectives; Applying structured legal risk assessment methodologies to evaluate potential legal and regulatory risks of new business initiatives, including determining probability and impact levels and guiding escalation processes within corporate governance frameworks; Bar passage and bar license in at least one US state.
