The Lead Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including roadways, utilities, and bridges. Key daily tasks include analyzing project blueprints, collaborating with other departments, collecting cost data, preparing bid packages, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets. The Lead Estimator will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and foster successful project execution.Location: Charlotte, NCQualificationsStrong expertise in cost estimation, blueprint analysis, and construction material takeoffsProficiency in construction software and estimation toolsExperience in managing relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsProven skills in project planning, scheduling, and budgetingExcellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred)Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating or a related roleKnowledge of local, state, and federal construction standards and regulationsStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teamsFamiliarity with roadway, utility, or bridge construction is requiredExperience with scheduling software (MS Project, or similar).Experience with estimating software (HCSS, B2W/Bid2Win, or similar).Quantity takeoff experience using Bluebeam or AGTEKValid driver's license and ability to travel for company business.Experience estimating projects ranging from $2 million to $30 million.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis is primarily an office-based position requiring frequent computer use and communication. Occasional travel to job sites is required. Site visits may involve extended standing or walking and require use of PPE. Exposure to heavy equipment, dust, fumes, chemicals, uneven terrain, and extreme weather conditions is possible.We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa currently or in the future.
