The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.\nWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our team. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in maintenance and repair services. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced mentors to learn essential skills and gain hands-on experience in vehicle service maintenance and repairs. Upon successful completion of the One Year or 52-week program the Apprentice shall be eligible for promotion to a C-Level Technician.\nDuties:\nCollaborates with an assigned mentor to learn and perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.\nAssists mentors or technicians as needed.\nMaintains excellent attendance and punctuality.\nRetrieves parts from the parts department as directed by technicians.\nConducts safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as instructed.\nReplenishes supplies as requested by technicians or the Maintenance Manager.\nReports any machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.\nAttends training classes and departmental meetings.\nOperates all tools and equipment safely.\nRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.\nRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.\nStudy weekly material and take weekly quizzes.\nApply common understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations with minimal variability.\nApply general understanding to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions; solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nApply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\nSolve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\n1. High school diploma or equivalent required.\n2. Knowledge of shop safety standards.\n3. Strong commitment to safety is essential.\n4. Must be well-organized.\n5. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.\n6. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are necessary.\n7. Flexibility to work various hours or shifts is required.\n8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
