PCB Layout Engineer
Our Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and advancing toward AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world environments. Working across the full model and systems stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the physical constraints of real-world systems to improve people’s lives.About RoleAn engineer in this role will work with a very small team of electrical design engineers to turn schematics and mechanical constraints into finished circuit board designs and fabrication packages that can be manufactured. They will work with the supply chain team to get those boards ordered and fabricated. In This Role You WillWork with electrical and mechanical engineers to trade off design requirementsPlace and route boards, both brand-new and in subsequent revisionsHandle DFM feedback from board vendors to get to build readinessCreate rulesets, stackup templates, and fab package templates to accelerate future designsYou might thrive in this role if you:Have a background in PCB designAre interested and willing to try new tools and technologies to accelerate your workHave an unflappable commitment to principled design decisions and consistent qualityAre willing to tell your designers that they’re prioritizing badlyDon’t feel strong attachment to any particular work productWhat success looks like:Electrical design engineers are spending a majority of their time making schematics and doing bring-upDesign cycles for new boards are 1-2 weeks faster than they are today.Pay Rate: $105-$120/hour DOE** This role is 20 hours per week, part time
