This role focuses on execution, technical problem‑solving, and subsystem ownership, working under general direction from senior engineers and architects.\n\nThe engineer collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and ODM partners to support engineering development, bring‑up, and integration activities, while building deeper expertise in firmware architecture, silicon enablement, and system‑level design.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nContribute to hardware and firmware design and development activities for complex products and platforms, including coding, debugging, testing, and integration.\nImplement firmware features and enhancements, ensuring correct interaction between hardware, firmware, BIOS, and system software.\nSupport platform bring‑up, validation, and issue triage during development and sustaining phases.\nAssist senior engineers in evaluating new silicon components, firmware technologies, and design approaches.\nParticipate in architecture discussions and provide input based on implementation experience and system understanding.\nDevelop targeted proof‑of‑concept (POC) firmware or hardware modifications to validate design concepts or new technologies.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, interface descriptions, bring‑up guides, and firmware configuration details.\nSupport testing, root‑cause analysis, and defect resolution to ensure firmware quality, stability, and performance.\nFollow established engineering processes, coding standards, and quality practices.\nCollaborate with hardware, firmware, software, validation, and manufacturing teams to support engineering execution and integration.\nWork with internal teams and external development partners (suppliers, ODMs) on assigned tasks under guidance.\nCommunicate technical status, risks, and issues clearly to project leads and stakeholders.\nActively participate as a team player while managing multiple tasks or projects in parallel.\nDemonstrate a growth mindset by continuously expanding technical depth in firmware, embedded systems, and platform engineering.\nLearn from senior engineers and progressively take on increased technical ownership.\nMay provide informal guidance to interns or newer team members as experience grows.\n\nEducation & Experience Recommended\n\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE) Computer Science (CS) or similar field, Master of Science in EE or CS (Preferred)\n4-7 years of experience in hardware, firmware, embedded systems, or platform development\n\nKnowledge & Skills\n\nHands‑on experience with firmware and embedded systems development\nUnderstanding of hardware–firmware interaction, including board‑level design considerations\nFamiliarity with firmware development tools, debuggers, and programming languages\nExposure to system architecture concepts and silicon enablement\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills\nAbility to adapt to fast‑paced development environments and evolving requirements\nClear written and verbal communication skills in English (additional local language skills a plus)\nAbility to explain technical concepts and implementation choices to peers and leads\n\nThe pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
