Our multi-brand and omni-channel approach include our own insurance carrier, insurance brands and partner brands.\nPetPlace, a subsidiary of IPH, is building a digital first pet e-commerce platform with the aim of connecting key market services such as adoption, lost pet and insurance to make pet care easy.\nWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will analyzes, develop, create, and modify software solutions to meet organizational needs, including solutions for mobile applications and other product offerings.\nDay to Day tasks:\nAnalyzes and modifies existing software as well as design, construct, and test end-user applications.\nParticipates in full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design.\nWrites technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.\nSupports, maintains, and documents software functionality.\nAnalyzes code to find causes of errors and revise programs, as needed.\nParticipates in reviews to ensure the code is high quality based on reliability, efficiency, security, maintainability, and size.\nParticipates in agile ceremonies.\nCollaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify individual business requirements.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nLevel Specific Responsibilities:\nRepresents the technology team in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify business requirements and to provide alternatives.\nArchitects, defines, and develops software engineering effort on full range of applications based on business needs and requirements.\nGenerates artifacts such as architectural roadmaps, detailed designs, and necessary documentation to support the development of applications.\nShares knowledge and mentors Software Engineers regarding design principles, implementation techniques, emerging technologies, and trends.\nResearches and identifies application opportunities around performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nAccountability/Complexity:\nMay manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing resulting work product.\nMay be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.\nMay function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.\n#petplace #iph\nAll of our jobs come with great benefits including healthcare, parental leave and opportunities for career advancements.
