{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e3c990f2f513ca7eaef973bd","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e3c990f2f513ca7eaef973bd","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e3c990f2f513ca7eaef973bd","title":"CNC Programmer","description":"Job Title: CNC Programmer 3 (Mills/ Lathes)\nPay Rate: $48 to $52/HR\nDuration: 12 months\nLocation: Chandler, Arizona\nWe are looking for a CNC Programmer 3 (Mills/ Lathes)\nDevelop programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machines, such as a mill and lathe.\nMakes proper cutter selections for each part, taking into consideration such factors as speeds, types of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations.\nSelect program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.\nTests and modifies existing parts programs for engineering changes or program improvements.\nSupports design and manufacture of hardware in a machine shop setting through the use of CNC and manual manufacturing tooling.\nResponsibilities include the manufacture of hardware, training of less experienced personnel, adherence and enforcement of safety standards, and skillset progression through training.\nDevelops and writes programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings.\nAnalyze engineering drawings to define the configuration of parts and determine the type and sequence of machine operations.\nRequirements:\nProgramming experience - NX CAM preferred, 5+ years of programming experience\nMulti-axis, live-tool lathe\n5-axis mill\n3-axis mill\nMachine setup and operation experience (5+ years preferred):\nMulti-axis, live-tool lathe (Mori-Seiki)\n5-axis mill (Haas)\n3-axis mill (Haas)\nManual mill, band saws, etc.\nWillingness and openness to training individuals on the team to program and operate CNC machines\nIndividuals to be trained may have less than 1-year experience\nAbility to communicate well with others\nActive listening\nBe present in the conversation\nEmpathize with others\nAble to separate yourself from personal expectations of others\nAble to be objective and non-judgmental\nAble to freely provide machining suggestions and best practices\nBe open and accepting of suggestions not being implemented\nPreferred Qualifications:\n10+ years of experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC mills and lathes\nPast mentorship or leadership experience\nExperience improving manufacturing and shop processes for efficiency gains\nJob Types: Full-time, Contract\nPay: $48.00 -
