Candidates must be prepared to travel to project sites across the U.S. The Construction Manager oversees several concurrent mid-sized energy retrofit construction projects throughout the US. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years total professional experience that includes a wide range of experience in field operations and construction means and methods. The candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate success in the following skills and abilities:\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nManage multiple concurrent energy construction projects across the U.S.\r\nProvide valuable cost and constructability input during the design phase.\r\nCoordinate submittal, schedules, subcontractors and field activities.\r\nLead construction meetings with subcontractors, APG teams, and clients.\r\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules (including 3-week lookahead).\r\nEnsure strict adherence to construction specifications QA/QC, and safety standards.\r\nOversee project closeout documentation, and as-bult drawings.\r\nCapture and manage field redlines and ensure accurate project documentation.\r\nMaintain construction management software per company standards.\r\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships and ensure project success.\r\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\r\nValid Driver's License and ability to travel extensively nationwide.\r\n5-7 years of construction management experience with strong field operations background.\r\nExperience with data center substations, microgrids, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is required.\r\nStrong knowledge of the construction means, methods, and energy infrastructure projects.\r\nProven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and quality simultaneously.\r\nAbility to lead teams, subcontractors, and client interactions effectively.\r\nExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\r\nCapable of leading confidently in identifying, correcting and/or avoiding potential schedule, budget or quality issues. The ability to make decisions, while balancing cost implications, to avoid disruptions in the work or customers' operations is required.\r\nBe able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee and Subcontractor performance.\r\nRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project's goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.\r\nThorough understanding of Company and industry practices, policies, and standards.\r\nDesire and capability to lead others in the construction process.\r\nEffectively engage clients in the construction process. Respond to client concerns in an effective and timely manner.\r\nPossess excellent organizational skills.
