With a steadfast commitment to advancing medical technology, we take immense pride in the work we do and have a lot of fun doing it.The Production Operator is responsible to do a variety of functions in the department including manually loading and unloading parts into rotating machinery, using basic math skills, and inspecting parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment.Responsibilities:Perform finishing activities with the use of grinding tools; sharpen corners or edges, buff down surfaces, polish for brighter finish.Fine-tune finished piece processing with the use of knives, cutting tools, hand sanders, and other manual equipment.Maintain count of machined parts and clean, wash or tumble parts as required.Operate a grit / sand blasting machine (we will train).Follow all safety guidelines as stated by Vantedge Medical.Read and understand standard operating procedure instructions (we will train).Requirements:1+ years of experience as a machine operatorCooperative, team-focused attitudeAbility and willingness to cross-train in a variety of jobs in the Secondary Department.Mechanical aptitudeAbility to manually load/unload parts into rotating machineryBasic math skills (to count parts)Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands.Ability to lift 15 pounds regularlyAbility to stand/walk throughout the day for entire shiftAbility to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructionsAbility to read and understand blueprints (preferred)Communicate / train others when neededAbility to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.)
