Drywall EstimatorOverall planning and management of estimating activities for specific construction projects,POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Simultaneously Leads one or more estimate/budget/pursuit and in addition has capacity be support others on estimating pursuitsIs a mentor to one or more estimating staffCan quickly and accurately diagnose error, scope, exclusions in subcontractor estimatesCan review, prepare, and review others’ quantity take-offsTrain and develop Intern and Interim Project EngineersSpearheads and maintains historical costsDaily responsibilities:Prepares customized subcontracting bidders list(s) to the correct type of jobMaintains great relationship with trade partnersAssist jobsite staff with estimating supportPrepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricingPrepare conceptual estimatesPrepare subcontractors bid listLeads and/or participates in bid day compilationReview plans and specificationsCan generate high level VE/VM log with accuracyFollows bid schedule and can realign deliverable dates with minimal impact, through the use and management of the Estimate ChecklistBuilds consensus on applied fee strategyReview Subcontractor prequalification on prospective trade partnersDraft the first pass at General Conditions and General RequirementsSet-up and review General Conditions and General Requirements with the Operations teamGenerates scope sheets for all CSI divisionsSets up and conducts GO / NO GO for Swinerton self-perform tradesSupports and trains estimating staff (as applicable)Supports post-bid buyouts (as applicable)Complete other responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEngineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years estimating or related experienceAbility to read and understand specifications, drawings, and BIM Models.Ability to make accurate judgements and calculate associated risksAbility to use all estimating software such Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or other programs to complete daily dutiesWorking knowledge of current construction costs and principles
