End Dump Truck Driver
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced End Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks designed for hauling materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with your mechanical knowledge will ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries that keep our projects moving forward. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment and contribute to large-scale construction operations.
Responsibilities
Safely operate end dump trucks to transport construction materials within job sites and between locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck, ensuring all safety features and mechanical systems are in optimal condition.
Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to plan routes and delivery schedules effectively.
Assist with the setup and operation of auxiliary heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery as needed.
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, maintenance records, and safety checks.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
Communicate proactively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including dump trucks, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving machinery.
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites.
Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and auxiliary equipment such as Caterpillar machinery.
Experience working on construction projects involving grading, paving, excavation or similar activities is highly desirable.
