Active TS or CBP suitability strongly desired.\nJob Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to lead the development and maintenance of our applications supporting homeland security operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SQL databases and managed code using Python programming. Experience in AI/ML is also highly valued.\nKey Responsibilities:\n- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code in Python\n- Designing data models and write efficient queries to SQL databases.\n- Collaborating with the product team and other stakeholders to define software requirements and translate them\ninto technical specifications\n- Building and deploying software using modern DevOps tools and practices\n- Ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of web applications\n- Mentoring and coaching junior developers\n- Keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, including AI/ML.\n- Leading the development and maintenance of web applications using modern front-end frameworks and back-\nend technologies\nKey Qualifications:\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field\n- 5+ years of proven experience as a Backend Developer,\n- Experience with SQL database such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL server, AWS redshift. Mastering of concepts such as common table expressions, aggregation functions, stored procedures.\n- Experience with Object Relational Mappers (ORM) is a plus\n- Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker\n- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns\n- Experience with AI/ML technologies is a plus\n- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus\n- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.\nIf you have a passion for software development and have extensive experience with modern technologies, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
