{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e38c5ab99f6574a4a97ffaaf","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e38c5ab99f6574a4a97ffaaf","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e38c5ab99f6574a4a97ffaaf","title":"Supervisor","description":"FLSA Status - Non Exempt\nSummary\nManages the operation of the stores to achieve maximum sales performance during shifts as scheduled.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAchieves Maximum sales performance by ensuring:\nNew employees are trained.\nThat the store is adequately staffed.\nStore is properly merchandised and is clean.\nCash registers have adequate change reserves.\nAssists the cashier when needed.\nImplements all aspects of the customer service program.\nProvides training by answering questions, giving directions, and offering feedback about task pe1formance to employees and community service workers.\nAssists in limiting store injuries by providing safety guidelines to employees, coaching employees about safety issues, identifying and promptly reporting safety concerns to the store manager.\nDaily reports on performance of the assigned crew and furniture department; suggests disciplinary actions and terminations to the store manager.\nMaintains daily employee attendance records in assigned departments and makes employees aware of issues.\nImplements Operations Manual guidelines for banking and cash handling to ensure accuracy and accountability.\nEnsures all shopping carts are in the store at closing.\nFollows closing procedures in the Operations Manual to ensure the store is secured at the close of each business day.\nPrepares the production room for the next shift by ensuring that dropped off donations are inside store.\nReports to the store manager or supervisor.\nGives direction to store employees during assigned shifts.\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skill and Ability\nKnowledge of styles and trends.\nAbility to identify merchandise quality and price it accordingly.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.\nAbility to write employee warnings, which provide clear feedback to employee.\nAbility to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and employees.\nAbility to delegate and follow up to achieve established results.\nAbility to work as a productive member of a team.\nEducation and/or Experience Required\nExperience working with a diverse workforce.\nAbility to work with individuals possessing developmental disabilities.\nAbility to use good judgment.\nEnergy to take on fast-paced work.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nGood listener.\nPhysical Demands\nWorks inside in a production and retail environment.\nExposure to temperature fluctuations.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, stand and move throughout the store.\nUse upper body strength to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to dust from donations.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing, bending and stooping and occasionally walking.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift the arms shoulder height or above.\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push or pull clothing racks weighing up to 15 pounds.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
