Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide technical writing, editing, and document management support to a federal law enforcement organization responsible for border security technology and operations.\nCommunicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences through written materials.\nReview, edit, and refine documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.\nDevelop content for reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs.\nAdhere to agency style guides and formatting requirements for official communications.\nEdit station profile updates and requirements documents for leadership review.\nRefine operational requirements documents for USBP and CBP leadership, ensuring compliance with agency standards.\nSupport efficient routing and approval processes for senior leadership.\nAnalyze and edit executive-level documentation, briefings, internal correspondence, and publications, marking substantive changes as needed.\nDetermine and apply appropriate levels of review (proofreading, copyediting, substantive editing).\nDevelop executive summaries and briefings from larger documents.\nCollaborate with authors and subject matter experts to clarify message, audience, style, and publication schedule.\nEnsure grammar, structure, flow, readability, and presentation meet client and industry standards.\nOversee publication workflow throughout the approval process, serving as the final reviewer when necessary.\nManage documentation, project, and task workflows.\nAssist with publication maintenance, future activities, and integration with broader agency initiatives to support program growth.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in English, Management, or a related field; 3–10 years of relevant experience.\nProven technical editing and writing experience.\nExperience with fact-checking, citation management, and style guides.\nProficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint); advanced skills in Word’s Track Changes and document formatting.\nBackground in marketing, communications, business, or change management.\nExcellent interpersonal and written communication skills.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.\nStrong organizational and time management skills; able to coordinate tasks and set priorities with minimal supervision.\nDetail-oriented, team-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to pass a government background investigation (financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, employment verifications); active CBP background investigation preferred.
