Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
Assist with menu planning to meet nutritional and customer preferences
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards
Support food presentation and plating for fine dining or catering events
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Participate in food preparation activities such as cooking, portioning, and garnishing dishes
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
Assist with catering services and special event meal preparations
Serve food to guests or patients with professionalism and courtesy
Experience
Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or culinary roles is highly preferred
Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a restaurant or healthcare setting is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques is essential
Fine dining experience or work in the food industry enhances candidacy
Skills in cooking, food presentation, knife handling, and catering are desirable
Previous kitchen experience or restaurant work demonstrates strong culinary skills and familiarity with food industry standards
