Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceWe are seeking an experienced Epic Technical Specialist with active certifications in all required Epic modules, specifically Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Resolute Professional Billing Claims. The Technical Specialist will be the primary build and support contact for these Epic modules, ensuring successful design, configuration, and implementation aligned with organizational policies and workflows. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with end-users and Epic representatives.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary support contact for end-users of the assigned Epic modules, addressing their queries and troubleshooting issues.Oversee and participate in the development, design, configuration, scripting, testing, and support of Epic applications tailored to meet the needs of the business, research, and instructional functions.Develop solutions by leveraging programming expertise to manage, maintain, and enhance complex, inter-related applications and solutions.Assess hardware availability and software requirements necessary for optimal application performance.Identify application issues and work proactively to resolve them, implementing solutions aligned with system needs and user requirements.Lead workflow design sessions, build and test Epic systems, and resolve technical issues that may arise during Epic software configuration.Implement requested system changes and adjustments efficiently and accurately.Serve as a bridge between end-users operational needs and Epic’s technical implementation team, ensuring workflows are aligned with business objectives.Maintain regular and effective communication with Epic representatives and attend weekly project team meetings to align on project updates.Develop a strong understanding of the organization’s operational needs by participating in site visits, integrated sessions, and workflow analysis.Review ongoing project status, address issues with leadership, and adjust project plans as necessary.Hold weekly communication sessions with the project team to review deliverables, discuss end-user feedback, address shared issues, review budget status, and plan for upcoming milestones.Basic Qualifications:Epic Certifications: Certified by Epic in Resolute Hospital Billing, HB & Claims; Professional Billing, PB & Claims; and Long-Term Care Billing8+ years of experience in Epic implementation or operations support8+ years of experience in Health IT5+ years of experience setting up and testing paper and electronic claims and electronic remittance8+ years of experience understanding upstream and downstream data sources for claims to investigate the root causes of claim errors8+ years of experience in system knowledge and testing, including developing test plans/scenarios5+ years of experience with health plan concepts and workflows8+ years of experience in application development and system integration8+ years of experience with enterprise systems and best business practices5+ years of experience with legal requirements and operational policies related to patient and family privacy8+ years of experience working with system security protocols8+ years of experience in the full development process, including specification, workflow analysis, workflow diagrams, data modeling, documentation, and quality assurance5+ years of experience coordinating and directing computer systems and application design and development8+ years of experience assessing user needs and conveying technical information to clients8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing8+ years of experience understanding the core functions and processes of the billing office8+ years of experience with the billing office's integration with other departments in the organization8+ years of experience in revenue cycle management8+ years of experience in understanding clinical and regulatory requirements for skilled nursing care settings and their interaction with billing workflowsExperience in at least one full life cycle Epic implementation projectPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a similar role supporting Epic implementations in a healthcare setting.Experience in programming or scripting for application customization.Familiarity with healthcare workflows, policies, and billing operations.This is a remote position.
