Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Preschool Teacher/Assistant to join our early childhood education team. This role involves providing a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children in a daycare or private school setting. The position offers an opportunity to support children's developmental milestones, facilitate learning through creative activities, and assist with classroom management. Ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children of various needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
Duties
Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance to foster a positive learning environment
Provide individualized attention to children, including toddlers.
Support teachers in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
Engage children in educational play and activities that promote curiosity and learning
Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs
Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities
Skills
Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
Familiarity with curriculum development for preschoolers, including literacy education, math, and Montessori methods
Ability to work effectively with children with autism or disabilities and implement behavior management strategies
Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents positively
Experience in special education or working with children who have behavioral challenges is a plus
Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude essential for fostering a supportive learning environment
Prior experience in toddler care or Montessori classrooms is desirable
Must have at least 12 Units of Child Development education.
