Additionally, this position will also provide composites support to spares and legacy programs. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with internal and external suppliers regarding composite part and process specification qualifications, material authorization, specification authoring and revision, and non-conformance support.Position Responsibilities:Author and revise material or process specificationsSpecification of composite materials, resin systems and adhesives for aircraft usageCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, structural engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers, to ensure successful project executionQualification of suppliers to composites fabrication, assembly and bonding processes to internal specificationsInterface with government, external and internal customersSupport non-conformances, fleet impact assessments, notice of escapeesLead material and fabrication development of controlled surface re-design effortDevelop and implement earned value management techniques to monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.Manage composite materials development, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for a structural re-design effort Must be willing to travel up to 25%.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Berkeley, MO site.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
