Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position:\n\nDuties and Tasks:\nSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function\nPerforms technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems\nPrepares, plans and arranges the labor, schedules and equipment required for testing and evaluating standards and special devices\nFirst level supervision responsible for at least two individuals, typically non-exempt\nOversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management\nReview’s status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports\nAssesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives\nDevelops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders • Leads development of strategic tasks or small projects by applying engineering and organizational knowledge and expertise to achieve technical goals\nProvides technical input to Project or Engineering Management in linking task-related strategy to achieve business goals\nUnderstands and interprets the technical, organizational and process aspects of the task assigned and can relate them to the technical needs of the overall large project or organization\nPlans and executes small projects or task elements within larger projects, organizations, or for groups of projects\nResponsible for the completion of assigned engineering tasks or small projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines\nDirects, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering tasks or small projects within area of assigned responsibility\nActively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans\nParticipates in development of program strategies and teaming strategies as they relate to the assigned task Participates in the development of executable project plans on proposals\nParticipates in the proposal process\nDirects team members to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies\nAssigns tasks and reviews employees’ work at frequent intervals, participates in performance appraisals, workload planning and scheduling\nDrives continuous improvement throughout the group and processes\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nFully proficient understanding of project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls\nDemonstrates self-directed/ self-starting ability and can lead experienced engineers and technicians\nSkilled at executing complex tasks\nFully proficient knowledge of other related disciplines\nCommunicates well with managers and teammates\nFully proficient in Microsoft Office applications\nFully proficient written and verbal communications skills\nFully proficient motivational skills\nHas shown ability to meet business expectations and supervise people\nFully proficient knowledge of engineering processes\nDemonstrates self-management\nTravel may be required\nSecurity clearance may be required\nWork performed without appreciable direction\nProvides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity\n\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nSalary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
