FBO Operations Manager
Important Note on This Role: This is not a general operations management role.This position requires direct experience in FBO or aviation ground operations, including ramp operations, aircraft fueling, and airside coordination. Candidates without hands-on FBO or aviation operations experience will not be considered.Position SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operations at PAS run with consistency, accountability, and strong communication across all teams.This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving execution, reinforcing operational discipline, and maintaining alignment across ramp, concierge, fuel, safety, and support functions.The ideal candidate is comfortable leading from the front, can build credibility quickly with operational teams, and understands how to run an FBO environment without requiring foundational ramp or fuel training.Core ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate day-to-day operations across ramp, concierge, fuel, safety, and support functionsProvide visible, on-the-ground leadership and support within the operationConduct shift briefings, team check-ins, and communication rhythms that keep departments alignedReinforce operational standards, service expectations, and day-to-day disciplineSupport hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team membersConduct performance management, coaching, and corrective action in coordination with leadership and HRAct as a key escalation point for operational and service-related issuesSupport high-demand periods including cargo operations, peak traffic, and special eventsMaintain strong coordination across ramp, concierge, facilities, and safety teamsFuel & Operational OversightFuel farm coordinationOversight of fuel inventory levels and operational needsFuel quality control procedures (ATA 103 / NATA standards)Vendor coordination and fuel delivery logisticsEnsure compliance with operational, safety, environmental, and airport requirementsSupport safety program execution, training coordination, and operational audits (including IS-BAH where applicable)What Success Looks LikeOperations run smoothly without unnecessary escalationTeam members understand expectations, communicate proactively, and follow through consistentlyThe operation feels structured, controlled, and professional — not reactiveOperational issues are identified early and addressed quicklyCustomer experience remains high even during complex or high-volume periodsThe team grows stronger over time through leadership, accountability, and mentorshipRequired QualificationsDirect FBO or aviation ground operations experience requiredHands-on experience in ramp operations, aircraft fueling, or line service leadershipWorking knowledge of fuel operations, fuel farm coordination, and fuel quality control standardsExperience operating in an airport environment with safety, compliance, and operational requirementsDemonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, operational settingStrong communication, leadership presence, and follow-throughMinimum 4+ years of direct FBO or aviation ground operations experiencePrior experience in ramp, line service, fueling, or airside operations leadership requiredStrong working knowledge of aircraft fueling operations, fuel quality control procedures, and fuel farm coordinationExperience operating in a fast-paced airport or FBO environment with high operational standardsDemonstrated ability to lead teams, reinforce accountability, and maintain operational disciplineFamiliarity with FAA, OSHA, NATA, ATA 103, and general airport compliance requirementsExperience coordinating across multiple operational departments and prioritiesStrong communication skills and visible leadership presence requiredPreferred (but not required)Experience with fuel inventory management and ordering processesFamiliarity with systems such as X-1 or similar FBO operating platformsExposure to cargo operations or complex ramp environmentsExposure to commercial fueling environments, or IS-BAH standards is a plusAdditional RequirementsAbility to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredValid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain airport badge accessMust be able to obtain and maintain airport badge access and meet all airport driving requirementsJ-18808-Ljbffr
