Parent Outreach LiaisonThe position of the Parent Outreach Liaison is to develop and maintain parent engagement opportunities to include events, educational support for students and volunteer events on campus and serve as a liaison between school administration, staff, parents, and community partners to promote partnerships within our school, resulting in increased school culture and student achievement.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to maintain confidentiality of records and correspondenceMust possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance cardComputer proficiency to include use of basic software applicationsAbility to effectively communicate with parents/guardians, staff, and district personnel at all levels and with outside agenciesAbility to organize, prioritize, take initiative and work independently with minimum supervisionAbility to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with parents/guardians, staff, district personnel at all levels and outside agenciesAbility to maintain organized, comprehensive records for reporting informationAbility and willingness to work flexible and evening hours as neededPossess group leadership skillsMust be able to pass a background check upon employmentDuties and Responsibilities:Serve as a liaison between school personnel, parents/guardians, and the community.Collaborate with site teachers and staff to provide parent education and events, parent meetings, etc. (i.e. Parent volunteer meetings, PTSO, Math and Reading Literacy Nights, Family Curriculum Evening, etc.).Create, coordinate, and facilitate parent meetings.Foster an awareness of our school community and or visitors.Connect parents to leadership and volunteer opportunities.Compile information for the school website regarding parent involvementMaintain parent information areas (boards, marquee, front office, and online ect.) at the school site with resources and activities affecting parental involvement.Use data to provide programs and activities to address the needs of parents and the school.Confidentially maintain a variety of records, which may include: parent information, attendance records, data logs, and other parent program information.Prepare reports to submit to Administration, which may include program hours, parent information, programs/eventsPerform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the parent program.Reports to: Building Administrator FLSA Status: Part-Time/10-months; Non Exempt (.7375 FTE) CLASSIFIED HOURLY (Non-Exempt) Hiring Guidelines and Placement Schedule
