As a Litigation Paralegal you will work closely with our talented attorneys providing support before, during and after trials.\n\nThis role will be working in our Winter Park office located 1560 N Orange Ave Suite 300 Winter Park, FL 32789\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPrepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda\n\nE-file all court documents in state and federal court\n\nCommunications with clients, court, counsel, and others.\n\nConduct legal research and factual investigation\n\nPrepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses\n\nDraft and server summons\n\nCoordinate and summarize depositions\n\nPrepare trial binders and exhibits\n\nDrafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court\n\nPerforming administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics)\n\nMaintain pleadings and discovery indexes\n\nOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices\n\nAid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests\n\nGather relevant information from a variety of sources\n\nLiaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties\n\nWitness preparation\n\nAssisting with case settlements\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.\n\nQualification\n\nAssociate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)\n\n2+ years of litigation experience (required)\n\nCompletion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)\n\nExperience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas. (preferred)\n\nMust possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings\n\nApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etc.\n\nHighly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nExtensive computer and database expertise; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm.\n\nThis role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team.\n\n#LI-MP1\n\nBenefits\nMorgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful.
